What precautions is the Dora Queen taking to ensure the health and safety of passengers and crew due to COVID-19?

The Dora Queen is requiring all staff and crew to wear mandatory face masks. Guests are encouraged to wear masks but it is not mandatory. All guests will be given hand sanitizer upon boarding. Hand sanitizer will be placed throughout the boat. Staff will routinely disinfect all surfaces.  There will be thorough sanitization and deep cleaning of the boat in between each cruise. The Dora Queen comfortably holds up to 70 passengers, but will only allow up to 50 passengers to safely social distance. 

 

How many people can the Dora Queen accommodate?

The Dora Queen can accommodate 70 people comfortably.

 

What type of seating is on the Dora Queen?

There is lounge style seating.  

 

Can I walk on and make a reservation?

Yes. Walk on's are welcome if space is available. If all seats have been paid for with advance reservations through Dora Queen.com, then no walk on passengers will be accepted.

 

Is food served on the Dora Queen?

Yes, there is concession style food on the boat located at the lower level bar.

 

Is alcohol served on the Dora Queen?

Yes, there are 2 bars on the Dora Queen.  One on the lower level and one on the upper level.  The upper level bar will serve beer, wine and liquor. The lower level bar will serve beer and wine.

Are pets allowed on the Dora Queen?

No.

What is the cancellation policy for the daily cruises?

The Captain reserves the right to cancel a cruise at any time, especially during inclement weather. In the event of cruises being cancelled due to inclement weather guests will receive a rain check to use on a different day.  To receive a full refund cancellation must take place 7 days prior to sailing. Cancellations between 2 and 6 days prior to sailing will have the option to reschedule their cruise. Cancellations within 24 hours of sailing will need to be handled on a case by case basis.

Do you offer catering?

No, but we have a list of vendors we work with if needed.

Can I cater from an outside vendor?

Yes,  you may cater your event from outside vendors.  A certificate of insurance will be needed when the food company is bringing the food on board and setting up or serving.  Proof of insurance needs to be provided 2 weeks prior to the private event. If charterers bring food from a restaurant and set it up/serve it , additional certificate of insurance is NOT needed.

Can I decorate the interior of the Dora Queen prior to my private event?

Yes, but there are some restrictions on what is allowed.

Can we have music on board the Dora Queen? Can we hire a DJ or band?

Yes, music is allowed on the boat.  Yes, you may hire a DJ or band on board the Dora Queen.  The hired entertainment will need to have general liability certificate of insurance. Proof of insurance will be required 2 weeks prior to the scheduled rental.  Please keep in mind the amount of hired outside staff or entertainers on the boat will go towards the maximum capacity. 

Are there restrooms on the boat?

Yes, there are 2 restrooms located on the lower level of the boat.

 

Is the Dora Queen handicap accessible?

Unfortunately not.  Please call in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.

 

Is the Dora Queen air conditioned/heated?

Yes, downstairs only.

 

What time do my guests and I need to arrive prior to our daily cruise?

No earlier than 30 mins prior to the scheduled cruise.

 

What time do my guests and I need to arrive prior to my private event?

No earlier than 30 mins prior to the event.

 

Is there parking available?

Yes, there are several public parking areas close to the boat.

 

Are there overnight accommodations or local hotels in the area?

Yes

 

What happens if there is inclement weather?

Cruises depart rain or shine, no refunds or exchanges.  The captain reserves the right to cancel a cruise at any time, especially during inclement weather.  In the event of cruises being cancelled due to inclement weather guests will receive a raincheck to use on a different day.

 

Is there smoking allowed on the Dora Queen?

Yes, but only in designated areas.  And proper disposal of cigarette/cigar butts is a MUST.  Disposal bins are available in the designated areas only.
